I am not just making this as a "♥♥♥♥ this game" kind of thread I am genuinely wondering if maybe I just am not playing the game right. They just feel "off" like they are slightly to the left or right of the back instead of being right behind the enemy. Not to mention I have yet to find a shield that blocks 100% of physical attacks. I only have 4 estus flasks paired with half a health bar every time I respawn which gets incredibly annoying. Also, I am not sure why they have this mechanic where every time you die you lose a portion of your overall health. It is not just the combat either, the bonfires are so far away from the boss fights that having to run passed the same 50 mobs is starting to feel like a chore. Idk if it has something to do with Miyazaki not having worked on this game but I am just really struggling to see the appeal. I played DS1 not too long ago and for some reason that game felt exactly the same as I remember it, but this game feels so much worse. ![]() Now I am trying to go back through it and man. I also got DS2 when it first came out but I quit playing because I was playing other games at the time. I played DS1 when it first came out and everything felt fine. The controls feel so clunky to me and the combat feels incredibly slow. I applaud anyone who can play through this game. ![]()
